Dattatreya slams TRS for forgetting 12% quota to STs

Hyderabad: Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has alleged that the TRS government forgotten its assurance of providing 12 percent reservations to STs. He alleged that corruption was taking place in irrigation projects in the state and suggested the TRS party to learn lessons from the Congress party, which paid price for indulging in corrupt practices in the past.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday at party office here, Dattatreya said that the BJP led NDA government was stick to the protection of SC, ST Atrocities Act. He alleged that regional parties were making falsehood allegations against Narendra Modi government besides Congress party. The BJP was striving to achieve social justice while removing inequalities in the society and as part of it the central government decided to give constitutional status to OBC Commission, he reminded.

The Congress party was doing injustice to the weaker sections with its double standards, he fired. On the occasion, Dattatreya felicitated State BJP vice-president Malla Reddy for being appointed as director of the Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) Bengaluru recently. (NSS)
