Telangna Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy has given directives to officials for preparations to lay the foundation stone of the new Telangana High Court building in January, situated in 100 acres at Rajendranagar. However concerns have arisen particularly from public interest lawyers and activist , regarding the need for such a relocation.

Advocate Hasan Baqri tiwited that The present high court enjoys commendable infrastructure and facilities, strategically positioned in the central hub of the city, ensuring accessibility for all. The proposed move to a new location in Rajendranagar, despite its expansive 100-acre span, raises questions about the potential misuse of time and public funds.

Hasan Baqri, a vocal public interest lawyer and activist, has expressed reservations about the relocation. He argues that the existing high court’s current state, with ample parking space and a forward-looking design, is conducive to efficient legal proceedings. Moreover, its proximity to the City Civil Court and other legal forums is crucial for the smooth operation of legal practices among advocates.
