Details on the Hyderabad Traffic Police Special Drive

Among the cars that have tinted glass and irregular number plates being cracked down on by the Hyderabad Traffic Police is one with tinted glass. To combat traffic violations, Hyderabad Traffic Police is conducting a special drive from July 18.

A.V.Ranganathan, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said they were putting police officers at risk through violations of tinted glasses, disfigured number plates, and temporary registration numbers.

Beginning June 18, a special drive will be organized. The Road Transport Authority will file charge sheets against persons who violate the MV Act,” he said, adding that persons who purchase new vehicles should register them with the authority within one month and get them a permanent number.

Vehicle owners must ensure that the visual transmission of light for the windscreen and the rear window does not fall below 70% as specified in Central Motor Vehicle Rule 100. Ideally, the side windows should be maintained such that the light transmission is at least 50%.

Police surveillance centre in Telangana robbed

Telangana’s upcoming police command control centre in Banjara Hills, which is located in the heart of Hyderabad was robbed. Copper wire bundles worth several lakhs were stolen from the under-construction centre. The project manager filed a theft complaint with Banjara Hills police.

Approximately Rs 10 lakh worth of material was stolen. A case was registered, and an investigation was conducted. The police began questioning workers on the site because they suspected insiders were involved. Banjara Hills is home to the prestigious Command and Control Centre being built by the state government.

Having been constructed at a cost of over Rs 585 crore, the multi-storied security complex will be a state-of-the-art facility designed to monitor the law and order situation in the entire state.
