Tollywood star NTR’s highly anticipated pan-India action drama, *Devara*, is poised for its world theatrical release on September 27, 2024. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film’s theatrical trailer, which was recently unveiled, has received a positive response from fans, building excitement for its release.
The film’s journey towards its release has included navigating the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) process. *Devara* has secured a UA certification, indicating that it is suitable for viewers aged 12 and above. However, the CBFC suggested four cuts in the movie to ensure compliance with certification guidelines.
According to the censor report, three of the suggested cuts were related to violent content, while the fourth recommendation was to insert a CGI mark for a specific shark visual. In response to these directions, the filmmakers have made necessary alterations to the visuals. Specifically, scenes depicting a man kicking his wife, a body hanging from a sword, and a son kicking his mother have been slightly modified. These changes were made to address the board’s concerns without undermining the intended impact of these sequences.

Following these adjustments, Devara now has a revised runtime of approximately 177 minutes and 58 seconds. The film features Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in prominent roles, alongside NTR.
Produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna, *Devara* is a high-budget entertainer that has garnered significant attention for its star-studded cast and ambitious production values. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to the buzz surrounding its release.
As the release date approaches, fans and industry insiders are eagerly awaiting the film’s debut, hoping that *Devara* will live up to its high expectations and contribute to the ongoing success of Tollywood’s expanding influence in Indian cinema.
