In a significant breakthrough, the Rein Bazaar police have arrested eight individuals involved in the brutal murder of notorious rowdy sheeter Mohammed Masihuddin, also known as Masih Don. The arrests were made near Yadagiri Theatre in Santosh Nagar following a swift police operation.
According to the investigation, the murder was the result of personal enmity. The accused allegedly launched a planned knife attack on Masihuddin, leading to his death on the spot. Police recovered four knives and four motorcycles used in the crime from the scene.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Mohammed Pasha Jelani alias Sher (42) – Textile businessman, resident of Farhat Nagar, Dabeerpura
- Mohammed Umar Khan (29) – Fruit vendor, resident of Dabeerpura Darwaza
- Mohammed Arif Khan alias Khan (40) – Mobile and goggles shop owner, Dabeerpura
- Mohammed Ghouseuddin alias Saji (36) – Real estate businessman, Farhat Nagar
- Mohammed Tabrez alias Tabbu (29) – Travels business owner, Ambar Nagar B-Talab Katta
- Syed Ibrahim (36) – Businessman, Komatwadi, Dabeerpura
- Syed Basheer alias Basheer Khan (40) – Roadside shoe vendor, Bhavani Nagar, Talab Katta
- Mohammed Abubakar alias Abbu (28) – Mobile repair technician, Chanchalguda, Talab Katta
The victim, Mohammed Masihuddin, aged 27 and a resident of Fatima Nagar, Falaknuma, had a long criminal history and was listed as a rowdy sheeter under the Hyderabad Commissionerate. His first rowdy sheet was opened in 2017, followed by detention under the Preventive Detention (PD) Act in 2020, and a second rowdy sheet in 2023. He was infamous in the local criminal world under the alias Masih Don.

Police believe more individuals may be involved in the conspiracy and have expanded the investigation to uncover the full network behind the murder.
