Hyderabad: The elderly couple who had been suffering from fever for a few days committed suicide as the fear gripping in them about the corona.
This incident has occurred in the Khairatabad of Hyderabad city. The couple was anxious about their health as the temperature of their bodies are not decreasing. They left a suicide note saying we were dying to prevent children from getting corona.
According to police and eyewitnesses, Edama Venkateswara Naidu (65) and Venkatalakshmi (60) couple are residing in Rajnagar of Khairatabad. Their two sons were living in the same area near their house. The grandchildren of the elderly couple used to come to their house every day to play.
Venkateswaran Naidu and Venkatalakshmi have been suffering from fever for ten days and accordingly told their grandchildren not to come to their house for play.
According to the eyewitnesses they suspect that they had got corona due to the lack of effect of the medication. Anxiety grew that they would die if hospitalized. In addition to this, the duo has drunk the soft drink was mixed with insecticide. The incident came to light when Venkateswaran Naidu’s grandson Nagraj came to his house. Accordingly, he informed his parents’ other relatives and police.
The police reached the spot and found them dead. After searching, the house police found the suicide note and they also took the details of the couple from the relatives and the neighbors. They suspect that the couple who is worried about the pandemic of COVID 19 have taken this extreme step. The police have shifted the bodies for autopsy after the panchnama and started an investigation after registering the case. Police are undergoing the investigation of the case from different angles.
It may be recalled that panic is witnessed in the people about the corona in the recent past time and some of the couples have also taken the extreme step of suicides.
