Elon Musk Buys Space Ticket From Branson’s Virgin Galactic

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has recently bought a ticket worth $250,000 to space from fellow billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.

Virgin Galactic Is Reported To Have Collected $80 Million In Sales And Deposits 

As per the reports released by The Wall Street Journal, Musk has bought a ticket for his space ride before Branson had touched the edge of Space on Sunday. The report said that it is unclear how far Elon Musk is on the waiting list to go to space. But the company has (reportedly) collected $80 million in sales and deposits.
Elon Musk buying a ticket from Branson is not a surprise as they are good friend. In a recent interview, Branson said that Elon’s a friend and maybe someday he would travel in one of his ships.
In a tweet before flying off to space, Branson took to Twitter to thank Musk on being supportive and a good friend.
“Great to be opening up space for all – safe travels and see you at Spaceport America!”, he
tweeted. Following this, Musk responded with best wishes.

Branson On Sunday Touched The Edge of Space With Three Employees 

Reports suggest that so far Virgin Galactic has already sold almost 600 tickets for a ride in it SpaceShipTwo. On Sunday, Branson touched the edge of space with three other employees. It also includes the Indian-origin employee named Shrisha Bandla. It was the 22nd test flight of VSS Unity and the first test flight with a full crew in the cabin.

Upon landing, he said that it was an “experience of a lifetime”. The flight reached nearly 86 kilometers above the Earth’s surface.

Virgin Galactic aims to fly two more flights before starting its commercial operations from early 2022. The goal is conduct 400 flights per year.
After Branson, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is also expected to take off to space in Blue Origin rocket on July 20. He will be flying with his brother Mark and two others.
