Asifabad: The exchange of firing has occurred between Maoists and the Police party in Telangana. The extremists have opened the fire on the police after seeing them.
According to the sources, this incident has occurred in Mangi, Gundali, and Pankadi forest areas of the dist. Police were on the task of combing in these areas however after seeing the police the Maoists started firing forced police to retaliate. Tribals expressed their concern about this incident.
Maoists state committee member Bhaskar flee from the scene after this incident. Meanwhile, Vishnu S Warrier SP Asifabad said that In continuation of the combing operations of Police parties in Asifabad district, after some items belonging to Maoists were seized in Thiryani limits, yesterday at 10:30 pm, when Police parties were searching in Thokkuguda village of Thiryani Mandal, a Maoist Dalam in olive green dress carrying AK 47, SLR weapons attempted to fire at the Police party and the Police party retaliated and the Dalam fled away from the scene in darkness.
Search operations and intense combing operations are going on to catch the Dalam having TS Committee Mailarepu Adellu alias Bhaskar, Varghesh, Mangu, Ajay & Ramu. Any person giving information regarding Maoist Dalam or any suspicious persons in their area will be rewarded and their identity will be kept as a secret. He said that police forces are scrambling to catch them. He advised the general masses not to cooperate with the Maoists.
