Eying proposed elections, KCR’s hollow assurance holds no weight: Opposition

Having fingers burned in the mosques demolition issue, that stoke-up an outrage from the Muslim Community, the Chief Minister KCR’s has finally called a meeting of Muslim religious and political leaders to dose down the fire.

However, the question remains stuck in the minds of people in the old city that on who’s consent the mosques were demolished unabashedly and on who’s persuasion the all-party meeting has been arranged to dose down the issue?

People even arguing that whether the meeting, called by the Chief Minister, has forged a seal of approval on the administrative tendency of demolishing the mosques in the name of development henceforth as recent development specifically points towards this new normal.

No doubt, after an apparently visible impact of the “One Million Signature Campaign” – being kicked off by the JAC under the banner of Baazyabi Secretariat Masajid, the Chief Minister KCR’s has finally conceded the demanded that the mosques should be rebuilt on the same place where they were raised to the ground.

“Without going much deeper into the controversy, that has boiled up the furnace of resentment against the Government and make people disdainful against AIMIM party, the CM simply said the government will rebuild the mosques the same place where they were pulled down,” said, Osman Al Hajri, a senior Congress Leader.

“If anyone in the meeting asked the CM whether he thought for a moment before giving nod for the demolition of mosques how much pain and agony the Muslim community would go through after knowing the incident. This shows how sincere is our CM towards the feelings and sentiments of the Muslim community while his ulterior motives and disdainful chatters always tantalizing their religious feelings,” He asserted.

Liking the meeting of CM with a stanza of a famous poet “dil ke behlane ko ye khayal achcha hai ghalib”, Moulana Hamed Hussain Shuttari, Vice President All India Majlis Inquilaab-e-Millat (AIMIM) said, “All the leaders invited to attend the meeting are the troupe of soulless coteries of the government. They never ask the CM about the intension behind trampling two Mosques and a temple in the secretariat. They haven’t dared to ask the CM about Holy Scriptures, Jah namaz (Prayer May) and the Qutba asaa (wooden rest) that were desecrated during the demolition.

Accusing that all the so-called leaders were attended the meeting as if they are inherited slaves of the government, Moulana Shuttary said, “They just gone there to take back the assurance made by the CM as words of Holy Scripture. Whatever they may be but they are not at all righteous people who always stood up and grit their teeth to face the evil forces.”

Terming the CM’s assurance a mere political gimmick, Mohd. Abdul Qavi Abbasi, spokesperson of AIMIM (Inquilab) party said, “We won’t go after the assurance of CM as he is just trying to wash his hands from the offense he committed by pulling their religious structures and hurting the religious sentiment of the Muslims. It is not the first time that he made such frivolous chatter. All his previous promises and assurances such as 12% reservation, international Islamic center, double bedroom for poor families and KG to PG free education, etc., are not yet fulfilled.”

Accusing that the CM is deceptively trying to buy the time eyeing the proposed elections, he said, “KCR’s for sure worried over the level of resentment grows among the public against his totalitarian rule and he is quite sure that vanquishing the blow off steam in proposed elections would not be an easy pill to swallow. Hence, he is trying to get away with only laying foundations stones and closed-door meetings with some of his coteries to avoid the situation from getting more deteriorated.”

Lashing out at KCR’s and it close ally the AIMIM party, Osman Mohammed Khan, the most vocal leader of the Congress party said, “At one side the mosques were pulling down one after another in the name of road widening while on the other the CM is assuring to rebuild the mosques on the same place. He keeps quiet when his administration audaciously pulling down the mosques and now coming forward to dose down the sentiments only after Muslims rose up against his autocratic style of functioning. Instead of giving hollow assurances about the reconstruction of mosques, he should have to reveal how many more religious structures he is actually planning to pull down?”

Not much water passed under the bridge after the mayhem caused at the secretariat, he said, the officials have come up with a new plan to pull down another mosque at Shamshabad. More despicable is the role of AIMIM, a close ally of the TRS Government, who is surreptitiously paving way for such demolitions just to remain in the good book of the government.

Terming the KCR’s meeting a mere eyewash to pursue ulterior motives, Amjedullah Khan, Spokesman Majlis Bacho Tahreek (MBT), said “Muslim community will continue its struggle until the two mosques would be rebuilt in situ at state Secretariat. He asked why the pseudo-Muslim leaders led by Asaduddin did not demand action lawfully against the desecration of the religious structure under the supervision of government officials.”

“Majlis Bacho Tahreek (MBT) demands the Telangana government to identify the perpetrators take immediate action against them so they could feel the weight of justice,” he asserted.
