A sad occurrence occurred in Barkatpura, Nalgonda town, Hyderabad, when the compressor of an air conditioner’s exterior unit detonated at a fruit merchant’s cold storage warehouse. Two people were killed instantly as a result of the blast.
The deceased were identified as Khaleem, 42, the proprietor of New Star Fruits, and Sajeed, 40, his employee. Fortunately, five other employees who were present at the warehouse escaped uninjured.
According to preliminary findings, the explosion occurred while Khaleem was attempting to replace the compressor with a new one. The blast is thought to have been triggered by a gas leak from the compressor in the AC’s outdoor unit, while the inquiry is still ongoing to determine the actual reason.
The victims’ bodies were dismembered beyond recognition as a result of the high-intensity blast, and the warehouse sustained substantial damage. of addition, the blast forced a wall of an adjacent house to collapse.
The occurrence caused alarm among the colony’s residents. To gather evidence, a team from the CLUES (Crime Investigation Department’s Laboratory for Explosives) and the bomb squad inspected the blast site.
