Father of Injured Boy in Pushpa-2 Screening Stampede Blames Allu Arjun’s Team for Chaos

A seven-year-old boy, critically injured in the stampede during the Pushpa-2 screening at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, has shown no improvement over the past 24 hours, according to his father, Bhaskar. The boy, an ardent fan of actor Allu Arjun, had been insisting that his father get tickets for the premiere of Pushpa-2, but the incident took a tragic turn when chaos erupted after the actor made a surprise appearance at the theater.

In an emotional statement, Bhaskar blamed Allu Arjun’s team for the stampede, accusing them of failing to inform the police about the actor’s visit. He argued that this lack of communication led to an uncoordinated situation, resulting in the dangerous and deadly crowd surge. Bhaskar said the absence of adequate security and poor planning contributed to the incident.

The chaos unfolded when Allu Arjun arrived unexpectedly at the Sandhya Theatre during the premiere. His appearance caused a rush of fans, quickly overwhelming the venue. Despite police presence, the situation spiraled out of control, prompting authorities to resort to a lathi-charge to disperse the crowd. However, the stampede had already caused panic and injuries.

Bhaskar, who was at the theatre with his wife and children, shared his harrowing experience. He explained that although they had arrived around 9:15-9:30 PM and initially saw no large crowd, the situation quickly escalated after Allu Arjun’s appearance. He recalled, “I was at the spot, but was taking care of my daughter. When the crowd started pushing, my wife got carried away, and I was left behind. I called her, but her phone was switched off, and she went missing.”

As the situation worsened, Bhaskar rushed to find his wife and son, initially believing they were still inside the theatre. After dropping his daughter off at a relative’s home for safety, Bhaskar returned to search for his family. It was only after contacting the police that he learned his wife and son had been taken to a nearby hospital. His son remains in critical condition, and the hospital has informed Bhaskar that no improvement is expected for at least 48 hours.

In his appeal, Bhaskar stressed that his main concern was his son’s recovery. “I just want my son to be saved, treated, and to come home healthy,” he said. He also called for accountability in connection with the incident, stating that such a tragedy should never be repeated.

Blaming Allu Arjun’s team for the chaos, Bhaskar pointed out that they failed to notify either the police or theatre management about the actor’s surprise appearance. “The responsibility lies with Allu Arjun’s team,” he said. “The police even mentioned that they were not informed about his arrival. The police presence was minimal, and the theatre management didn’t manage the crowd properly. There were only two gates, and the crowd surged in, leading to the incident.”

The stampede at the Pushpa-2 premiere has raised serious concerns about crowd control and safety measures at large events. As investigations continue, many are calling for stricter security protocols to ensure the safety of attendees in future gatherings.
