Four of Attention Diversion gang from Tamil Nadu nabbed

Hyderabad: A four-member inter-state attention diversion gang from Tamil Nadu was nabbed by the Rachakonda police on Wednesday in a joint operation by Special Operation Team of LB Nagar, CCS and Vanasthalipuram police. The police recovered Rs 4.1 lakh cash, a Tata Indica car, 15kg ganja and six mobile phones from their possession.

On a tip-off, the joint police team intercepted the Tata Indica car in Autonagar area in Vanasthalipuram today and arrested four members of Ramjinagar gang of Tamil Nadu, who were identified as Deepak alias Deepu, Sathyaraj, Yogesh and Suresh. Police said the criminals had stolen Rs 58,97,600 cash from a car, which was brought to upload it in an ATM.  The gangsters had diverted the attention of cash dispensing staff and decamped with the cash at Axis Bank ATM centre at Panama crossroads. They diverted the attention of the security officer saying they had dropped some cash on the road in the process of cash dispensing. When he got down from the cash dispensing vehicle to pick up the cash, the thieves opened the door of the vehicle and decamped with the cash. (NSS)
