Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L Narasimhan hosted the Iftar at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday evening.
Several prominent members of the community broke their fast in the presence of the Governor, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, HomeMinister Naini Narasimha Reddy, Legislative Assembly Speaker Madhushudhan Chary, Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud, legislators, Chief Secretary S.K.Joshi and several prominent Muslim leaders were among those who attended the Iftar.
Iftar, during the holy month of Ramzan, is a time when Muslims break their dawn-to-dusk fast.
