Hyderabad: Stating that the governments has to conduct elections to the Panchayats as per section 73 and 74 amendments, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramaraka has alleged that the state government was hatching a conspiracy to postpone the Panchayat elections showing Courts as a reason. Asking the state government to tell as to why it has failed to send Advocate General for arguments in the case if it had knowledge on governance, Bhatti said that the Court responded seriously as the government failed to furnish the BC population details.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday along with party leader Dr Vianaykumar, Bhatti alleged that the state government has intentionally not submitted BC population details to the Court. He asked the state government to tell the reason of not making Comprehensive Family Survey details public. He claimed that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was hatching a conspiracy to do injustice to the BCs besides postponing the Panchayat elections.
Dr Vinay Kumar reminded the state government that the Supreme Court has already suggested the governments to inform the BC population census. He demanded the state government to make the details of the Comprehensive Family Survey public and alleged that the state government was intentionally hiding it. He asked the state government to provide reservations in Panchayat elections based on BC population. (NSS)
