Making a fervent appeal to Muslim urging them not to miss the opportunity to enroll themselves as a voter for graduate constituency, Syed Ashfaq Ahmed, a practicing advocate, said, “It became inevitable for every graduate to enroll as a voter in the list as the Supreme Court recently has scrapped the earlier list of the voters and have order to prepared it afresh. In such a situation it would be appropriate for every graduate to enroll themselves as voters to ensure their voices reach the corridors of power and their issues get addressed.”
Reminding that only four days have left behind for the enrolment, he said, last date for the enrolment of names as voters ends on 31st December this year while the final list of enrolled voters will be published on 18th January 2021.
Explaining that the legislative assembly is not meant only for placing budget related issues concerning common people, he said, “The upper house of the assembly has enshrined to raise concerns other than the financial problems being faced by the people that include education, employment, health and sanitation issues.”
Campaigning to ensure as much as enrollments from Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar MLC Graduate constituency, Syed Ashfaq said, “Despite of glittering promises of providing 12% reservations, Employment and promotions to Urdu languages, nothings has been done on the ground to benefit the educated elite of the society.”
While pointed out that Urdu Medium schools in the old city were closed in the name of less rate of attendance, he said, “Private schools are on the brink of extension in the old city as parents are facing difficulties even to pay the fees of their children while no new colleges have been approved since several years has already made this part of the city completely bereft of the knowledge.”
“The subsequent lockdown due to outbreak of coronavirus pandemic has blow the coals as the dropout rate in private school in the old city has increased to manifold that certainly would lead to unprecedented rate of unemployment in the future. In such a scenario there should be someone to address or represent the issues explicitly related to the field of education in the upper house,” he contended.
Urging fervently to the graduates to shell out few minutes to enroll their names as voters he said, “By filling Form-18 and dropping it at the concerned MRO office or applying online on “ceotserms1.telangana.gov.in/MLC/Form18.aspx”, you would feel responsible and can bring a change in the prevailing system.”
