Hyderabad: The Congress has received a blow ahead of the GHMC elections. The party leader Guduru Narayana Reddy today resigned from the party. He is likely to join rival BJP. The BJP leaders are apparently in touch with Guduru. However, TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has jumped into action to placate the disgruntled leader. He is making last-minute efforts to convince Guduru to withdraw his resignation.
The congress party is lagging behind in the ongoing election campaign in the corporation limits. While ruling TRS and the BJP were going ahead in the election campaign by trading Charges at each other, the congress party is not able to match their rivals. This is causing a lot of pain among the party workers.
