Hyderabad : Ms Harichandana, Zonal Commissioner and Nodal Officer for SVEEP Activities, said that as per the instructions and the guidelines issued by the ECI, a meeting with owners of the printing presses, Xerox printing owners and various representatives of print related organizations has been conducted wherein a training has been imparted to them on how to implement the model code of conduct rules while taking up the printing works like posters, pamphlets, voting slips, stickers and any publicity material, election campaign material for distribution during elections.
The owners of the printing press must furnish a copy of the printed items printed for the Contesting Candidate, Political Parties etc., to the DEO, CEO, concerned RO so as to have a clear transparency while taking up printing works as per the guidelines of the ECI.
The printing managements / Owners should not print any kind of objectionable materials against the model code of conduct rules and they have to declare the expenditure incurred for the purpose. The Nodal Officer further stated that the ECI has provided one App known as C-Vigil which is meant for any citizen to furnish the information through Videos/Photos etc., about the irregularities, mall practices, electoral offences by the candidates wherein the ECI officials will have an immediate verification and action will be taken as per the rules specified therein.
In this connection, on behalf of the DEO the Nodal Officer has appealed all the citizens to utilize the C-vigil app and help the officials to make the election free and peaceful atmosphere. (NSS)
