Veteran Congress party leader V. Hanumantha Rao today opposed the decision of the state government to auction all its vacant valuable lands.
He said that the state would not have lands even for the establishment of graveyards if it had sold its lands in the future. He said that the future generations would face problems if the state government went ahead with its decision to sell the lands.
Speaking to media persons he asked the state government if it had lands had its predecessors sold them in the past. He called upon the opposition political parties of the state to come on one platform and fight against the decision of the state government to sell the lands.

Commenting on the appointment of TPCC president, he reiterated his demand and urged the party high command to appoint a leader from the weaker section as the next TPCC Chief.
Raising the issue of desecration of the Statue of Dr. B.R Ambedkar by local police in the year 2019, he said that the police had shifted the statue to Goshamahal police station.
He said that he would welcome the decision of installing the statue of martyred colonel Santosh but asked the state government as to what kind of problem it has with Dr. B R Ambedkar’s statue.

He said that he already spoke to politicians like MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, T TDP president L. Ramana and TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy on the issue.
VH said that he was holding a round table conference on the issue on the 17th of this month.
