Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao today said that eye operation theatres are available at Siddipet and Gajwel. The minister has launched an Opthomology theatre for eye operations at a government hospital in Siddipet. He also said that Rs 10 lakhs were spent on machinery. The minister appealed people to make use of the new eye operation theatre facility. This was restarted by spending Rs 10 lakhs as the hospital has a single personal platelet separator. Earlier patients of Dengue, viral fever used to go to Hyderabad and Karimnagar for platelets problems, he informed.
Now we got this facility and patients can get the problems solved in Siddipet, he added. We plan to increase the hospital to have a 40-bed dialysis capacity to provide more services. The present 10 bed ICU bed capacity will be doubled in the near future.
The people can get improved and speedy services in the district. Those tested under the Kanti Velugu scheme will get eye operations done shortly, the minister added.
