Harish Rao Urged Centre to Provide Booster Dose in Govt Hospitals

Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao today urged the Centre to allow the administration of booster doses of Covid vaccines in all the government hospitals.

In a letter addressed to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the Telangana Health Minister said the Centre should provide a facility of booster dose to all eligible people in the government hospitals. Right now, the precautionary dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is being given to those who have crossed 60 years and the Union government has recently decided to extend the facility to all aged above 18 years,  who have completed nine months since the administration of their second dose, at private vaccination centers.

The Health Minister said a total of 9,84,024 people are now eligible for the precautionary vaccine till April 10 in the Telangana State. He also informed that the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken effective measures for speedy completion of the vaccination in all categories and the health department is now ready to give the precautionary doses to all eligible people in the State.
