Heat wave makes attending school difficult in Hyderabad

Students in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana are finding it difficult to get to school because the state is currently experiencing a heat wave, with maximum temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius in many districts. Even in Hyderabad, the maximum temperature has exceeded 41 degrees Celsius on several occasions.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the city recorded a scorching temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius yesterday. Extreme weather has made it increasingly difficult for students to travel to and from school.

Due to monsoon delays, Hyderabad and other districts in Telangana have been experiencing heat waves for the past few days.

Given that the monsoon season has been delayed, many states in India have taken proactive measures to protect students from the intense heat. Several schools have decided to extend their summer vacations in order to ensure the students’ safety and well-being.

The Jharkhand government has decided to extend all school vacations until June 22. Similarly, the Patna District Magistrate has suspended all academic activities until June 24 in order to protect students from the extreme heat.

Once again, demands being made to make Hyderabad India’s second capital

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Madhya Pradesh government has put in place measures to reduce the impact of the heat wave on students’ education.

Primary schools in the state have been closed until July 1, with classes for students in grades VI through XII rescheduled to morning shifts from June 20 to June 30.

Meanwhile, despite the high temperatures in Telangana, including Hyderabad, no decision has been made by the state’s authorities to provide relief to students.
