Heavy Rains Forecast Across Telangana, Yellow Alert Issued Until June 17

Telangana, including Hyderabad and surrounding districts, is expected to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over the next several days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert until June 13 and extended a yellow alert for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds across almost all districts of the state.

On Tuesday, Hyderabad recorded maximum temperatures below 30°C, and the MET department anticipates further drops as weather conditions worsen across the region. According to the weeklong forecast, rains, thundershowers, and gusty winds are likely to continue until June 17, affecting a wide range of districts including:

Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirisilla, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy.

On June 13, a yellow alert has been issued across all districts for heavy thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging between 40 kmph and 50 kmph. Residents are advised to stay alert, follow weather advisories, and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during this period of adverse weather.
