Herbal park to be inaugurated in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has developed an exclusive herbal park in over 2 acres near Sanjeeviah park in the city and it will be inaugurated on August 15.

Aiming to create awareness among citizens on Ayurveda and promote its importance, park with 314 different varieties of herbal plants, has been developed at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore, according to HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu.

A wide variety of herbal plants has been developed in the park and also displaying boards erected at each plant explaining the importance of the plant, he said.

Efforts are being made to develop greenery around Hussain Sagar and make it a tourist destination.
