A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday near Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital, resulting in one death and two injuries. The incident took place around 4 am when a car, suspected to be driven recklessly, lost control and rammed into a footpath where several people were sleeping.
According to police reports, the car was heading towards Jubilee Hills when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car, continuing at high speed, mounted the pavement and struck people sleeping there. One person tragically died at the scene, while two others were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The identities of the victim and the injured are yet to be confirmed. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with the Banjara Hills police leading the inquiry. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to gather more information about the car and the driver.
