Hyderabad: TNTUC state president B N Reddy today alleged that TRS leaders are indulging in spreading of false information on the issue of special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Nizamabad MP Kavitha had stated at the time of bifurcation that they do not have any objection if SCS was granted to AP. How can TRS leaders are demanding SCS to Telangana State now, he questioned.
He alleged that ruling party in Telangana has failed to mount pressure on the centre for implementation of promises listed in A P Re-Organistion ACT. How can minister Harish Rao say that SCS should also be given to Telangana if it was granted to AP, TDP leader questioned.
The TRS leaders can demand for SCS , but it was unfortunate to say that SCS should be given to Telangana also if it was granted to A P, Reddy said. Ruling TRS party leaders have said that Telangana is a rich state. How can SCS be granted to a rich state, he lamented. (NSS)
