Hyderabad: The Social Cause will organise a Seminar on Human Rights Violations in Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) on Sunday at the PG College of Law, Basheerbagh, here.
Being organised on the eve of International Human Rights Day December 10 every year, the Seminar will be graced by Justice P. Ramakrishnam Raju, former Judge, High Court of AP and former Member, AP State Human Rights Commission and Prof. G.B. Reddy, Dean, Faculty of Law, Osmania University.
Dr. T. Aparna, Principal, PG College of Law, OU; Sri K. Raka Sudhakar Rao, National Executive Member, Jammu Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC); Sri Rahul Razdan, General Secretary, Youth for Panun Kashmir; Sri Chalasani Narendra, President, Human Rights Society and others will speak on this occasion. The programme also includes a Book Discussion of “Gilgit-Baltistan and its Unending Saga of Human Rights Violations” authored by Capt Alok Bansal, a formal Naval Officer.
This year’s International Human Rights Day marks the 70th anniversary of adoption of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948. (NSS)
