IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated the Bosch Global Software Technologies facility in Raidurgam, Hyderabad, on Wednesday. The 1.5 lakh sq ft facility will house 3,000 employees, with the company currently employing approximately 1,400 people. It will concentrate on artificial intelligence, e-mobility, the internet of things, safety, and other aspects.
During the inaugural ceremony, the Minister stated that Telangana is establishing Mobility Valley in the state, which will include multiple stakeholders such as EV manufacturers, battery manufacturers, recyclers, and others in the ecosystem. It will have engineering, battery testing, manufacturing, innovation, and talent zones. Hyderabad will host its first Formula E race in the second week of February next year.
He also stated that the state is planning to host an EV Week and an EV Summit in Hyderabad to bring together EV stakeholders.
Seeing Telangana’s proactive policies, noted battery maker Amara Raja Batteries has committed to investing approximately Rs 9,500 crore in Mahabubnagar in the State, the Minister said.
According to Rama Rao, many multinational corporations make conservative hiring plans. However, they recruit more because of the favorable business environment and availability of manpower here. Bosch and BITS were also planning to establish a Center of Excellence. TS was in advanced discussions about this. He stated that this would promote design thinking.
In the last eight years, Telangana has attracted a large number of investments, with companies such as ZF, Fisker, Stellantis, Hyundai, Uber, Qualcomm, Amazon, shoppingmode Apple, and others establishing large operations in Hyderabad. Many large corporations have their second-largest campuses in Hyderabad as well. Local firms such as Mahindra, Mytrah, RaceEnergy, and others were present in Hyderabad. Novartis relocated to Hyderabad about a decade ago with 400 employees and has since grown to 9,000.
Telangana’s IT exports were Rs 57,000 crore when the state was formed, and they have now surpassed Rs 1.83 lakh crore. Last year, the state created one out of every three IT jobs created in the country, with Telangana creating 1,50,000 jobs out of the Rs 4,50,000 jobs created across the country, Rama Rao said.

According to Kiran Sundara Raman, Vice President, Center Head – Hyderabad, Bosch Global Software Technologies, the new campus in Hyderabad aims to strengthen software-centric innovation.
“With a strong focus on Research & Development, BGSW has a strong global footprint and wants to leverage the world-class talent market of Hyderabad and Telangana for engineering and digital business to build a strong global delivery network. Our local presence in Hyderabad will help us in strengthening our relationship with existing and new customers in the region, ” he said.
In Hyderabad, BGSW already operates two facilities with approximately 1,500 associates. It plans to build workforce talent in automotive engineering and digital enterprise by consolidating operations in the new facility, he said.
