Hyderabad: Chaos ensues at Gymkhana for Ind-Aus cricket match tickets

Hyderabad will play home to an international cricket match for the first time in three years on September 25 when India and Australia play their third T20 match. However, chaos ensued outside the Gymkhana as hundreds of fans swarmed the venue in search of tickets.

The fans in the twin cities are excited to watch the match between two elite teams because they haven’t seen top-tier cricket in three years. When they couldn’t get a ticket, their excitement turned to disappointment. While accessing the Paytm Inside website to purchase a ticket online proved difficult, the sale of tickets offline remains uncertain.

Many cricket fans have criticized the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for withholding information while they have been waiting in line for tickets at the stadium for the last two days. Anyone who came to the ground had to return empty-handed.

The line at Gymkhana began as early as six o’clock in the morning and grew longer as the hours passed. In anticipation of heavy traffic in the area, the police arrived to disperse the mob yelling anti-HCA slogans.

The Paytm website, on the other hand, indicated that the tickets would be available soon. “The online inventory quota on September 15 is practically at capacity. Please check back for further updates. Coming Soon: Limited Tickets in Lot 2,” according to the website.

It also stated that the tickets could be used at Gymkhana from September 22 to September 25.

According to Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Mohammed Azharuddin, the tickets will be sold via the Paytm app and the Paytm insider app. Ticket prices range between Rs 10,000 and Rs 300.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal is the city’s main cricket stadium, with a capacity of nearly 55,000 people. It is well-known for its cutting-edge facilities and has hosted numerous international and Indian Premier League games over the years (IPL).
