Hyderabad E-Mobility Week set to begin on February 5

From February 5 to 11, the Telangana government is all set to host the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week, which will feature global leaders, eminent academicians, business leaders, and policymakers discussing the future of sustainable mobility.

The week will also highlight the global EV ecosystem and provide a platform for the world to witness the global electric vehicle industry’s strengths and capabilities, with significant international participation.

“Telangana is all set to showcase its prowess in the EV segment to the world. We are one of the first states to launch an electric vehicle and energy storage policy. As the state adopts sustainability, it also aims to be an attractive investment destination in the EV segment,” said IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

During E-Mobility Week, a number of events will be held, including Rall-E Hyderabad on Sunday, Mobility Next Hyderabad, ‘Case StartupUp Challenge’ and E-Motor Show 2023 will be held. The first-ever formula E-race in India will take place on February 10 and 11 governed by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

In welcoming everyone to the ABB FIA Formula E world championship 2023, KTR stated that many countries around the world competed to host the championship, and Hyderabad was eventually chosen.

“The Formula E World Championship coming to Hyderabad and India for the first time ever is a testament to the direction of progress India has taken. Sustainable mobility is the way to go for a cleaner, greener future. We are proud to be hosting this international event in Hyderabad and welcome all of India to come witness this race,” said Rama Rao, thanking Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra for making it possible.

The 2023 Hyderabad E-Prix, accelerated by Greenko, is being hosted by Ace Nxt gen in collaboration with The Government of Telangana and Formula E. Hyderabad will host Round 4 of the 16 races for the 9th season of the championship which will be organized between January and July 2023.

Eleven teams with 22 cars will compete, including well-known names such as McLaren, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, and Mahindra Racing. The introduction of the Gen3 Era Formula E car, known for its top speed of 322kmph and status as the world’s fastest, lightest, most powerful, and most efficient electric race car, will be the event’s highlight.
