Hyderabad: eight people were held for forgery and plot sales

The Rachakonda Special Operations Team (Malkajgiri) and Keesara police arrested eight members of a 15 member gang engaged in preparing fake documents and stealing plots. In addition to two cars, rubber stamps of various government officials, non-judicial stamp papers, and non-judicial stamp papers were seized from the group.

In addition to Sayana Balaji Sai Kumar (43), Guduru Praveen Reddy (38), Vangeti Sanjeeva Reddy (49), Kappara Sai Goud (30), Gandi Sai Kumar (31), Rudra Murali (39) and Lingala Ravinder (53) were arrested today.

Using forged documents, the gang identified and prepared open plots around Keesara. They sold the property through a few individuals who impersonated to be legitimate owners, said Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, a chief police officer of Rachakonda.

Three plots at Sreemitra Enclaves in Keesara allegedly belonged to a woman whose documents were forged by the gang. SOT team was contacted by the victim only after he approached Rachakonda CP.

Keesara police helped the SOT investigate the case and apprehend the eight suspects. An effort is being made to find the remaining absconders.

Previously, The Rachakonda police along with the Kushaiguda police busted a gang of 11 fraudsters who had forged sale deeds. According to the seized fake and forged sale deeds, the market value is around Rupees 20 Crore.

After receiving a complaint from Yadagiri, Rachakonda police arrested B. Rama Rao, B. Srinivas, G. Shyam Rao, S. Kumara Swamy, G. Rajashekhar, M. Janaiah, A. Balraj, V. Krishna, and N. Sridhar.

Additionally, Rachakonda police seized from their possession 10 fake sale deed documents worth a combined total of 16.7 lakhs, counterfeit rubber stamps, non-judicial stamps, revenue stamps, one Swift car, and ten cell phones, all worth a combined amount of 12.4 lakhs.

A police report states that the accused gathered certified copies of vacant and unclaimed land and prepared fake and forged deeds.
