An all-department meeting was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday to discuss the Haj pilgrimage 2022 under the patronage of Ministers Mohd Mahmood Ali and Koppula Eshwar.
From June 18 to June 30, 2022, the Haj camp will be held at the Hajj House building at Nampally. Approximately 3,000 pilgrims are expected to embark on the pilgrimage from Hyderabad. Pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka are among the pilgrims.
According to Koppula Eshwar, the Haj House provides all facilities, including customs clearance, checking baggage, currency exchange, food, and accommodation during the pilgrims’ stay.
Mohd Saleem, the chairperson of the Telangana State Haj Committee, said Hyderabad has been selected as the best embarkation point in the country, and he asked that all departments coordinate to ensure a smooth camp.

Minister of Minority Affairs, A K Khan stated that about 3016 Haj pilgrims, including 825 people from Andhra Pradesh, are scheduled to depart from Hyderabad by Saudi Airways flights. Approximately 377 pilgrims will be accommodated per flight.
Telangana’s home minister ensures safe journey for Hajj pilgrims
During a meeting on Wednesday, Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali told reporters that all preparations have been made to ensure a safe voyage for Hajj pilgrims.
We have all the arrangements set up for the Hajis to go. If they have any problems, they will be able to get them resolved here. All the arrangements have been done till the Hajis return home”, the state’s Home Minister told ANI.
A detailed meeting was held with the GMR, Saudi Airlines, and other groups to discuss the arrangements, he noted. The arrangements made are the best for the Hajis in Telangana, where there are 800 from Andhra and 2300 from Telangana.

Moreover, the Telangana government has been working continuously to get permission to build Rubaat (accommodation for Hajj pilgrims) due to the demolition of the buildings around Mecca.
The Hajj committee called the meeting on Wednesday for the purpose of making arrangements for Haj Pilgrims. State minister Koppula Eshwar, the chairman of the Hajj committee, and the chiefs of Andhra Pradesh attended the event.
As one of the five pillars of Islam, Hajj is a duty every Muslim should perform at least once in their lifetime if they have the means.
Around 2.5 million people used to travel to Saudi Arabia every year for Hajj before the Coronavirus pandemic emerged.
