A vengeful spite took a murderous turn after a man was killed over an extramarital affair in Hyderabad. His throat was lit by a knife that led to his immediate death, as per police reports. The victim’s affair with a married woman is believed to be the causative factor for his murder, they said.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning in Mallapur of Nacharam area in the Telangana capital. A young couple, husband Moin Khan and wife Neha Begum, are the suspected murderers of the case who lived in Naga Laxmi Nagar in Mallapur with their 3 children. The family used to live in Warasiguda earlier where the 25-year-old woman befriended a young man named Sohail who lived in the neighbourhood. Their friendship grew to an intimate level and soon her husband, a bag seller at Secunderabad, got to know about the affair.
The 27-year-old shifted his family to a house in Naga Laxmi Nagar but his wife’s acquaintance with the 22-year-old Sohail did not end with their house change. According to the police, Moin got aware of the incidents happening behind his back and confronted his wife that led to an argument between the two.
“Even after moving to the new place, Sohail is believed to have started secretly meeting Neha in her husband’s absence. Recently, Moin Khan learnt about it and the couple fought over the issue,” said T.Kiran Kumar, Inspector of Nacharam police station.
Neha had approached the cops to file a complaint against Sohail for harassing her and sexually advancing towards her on August 3rd, the inspector said. The police were investigating the case while the young man was absconding, he added.
As per reports from officials, the police suspect the couple to have called Sohail over to their house in the wee hours of Tuesday. They then killed him by dragging him into an empty room located close to their house. The couple slit his throat and escaped the site, they said. Sohail died due to the injuries on the spot while the house owner lodged a case against the couple.
Following this, Moin and Neha were taken into custody though there is no clear information on their arrest. Sohail’s body was moved to the Osmania General Hospital for postmortem.
