Hyderabad: Mattress manufacturing unit in Kishanbagh catches fire

On Wednesday morning, a mattress manufacturing unit caught fire at Kishanbagh.

As reported by the fire officials, the fire started at a facility where mattresses were manufactured on a large scale and cotton bags were stored in large quantities.

Fire department personnel were alerted to smoke coming from the premises by local residents. Three fire tenders were directed to the spot as the intensity of the fire was high. Initially, one fire tender from Chandulal Baradari fire station rushed to the scene.

Attempts are being made to control the fire by the firemen. Additionally, the Bahadurpura police are assisting

In a similar incident on Monday, a fire broke out in a textile store in Kanchanbagh’s Hafeezbaba Nagar. There were no reported casualties.

Officials believe the fire was caused by a short circuit. Local residents reported the fire to the fire department and police. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and it took more than two hours to extinguish the fire. Because the store was full of cloth material, thick smoke engulfed the surrounding areas, causing residents to panic.

The cost of the property damage has yet to be determined, according to officials. Kanchanbagh police are looking into the matter.
