According to the latest reports, the much awaited eco-friendly electric Air-Conditioned (AC) buses known as ‘E-Garuda’ will be available to passengers starting Tuesday. On Tuesday, the TS Roads Transport Corporation (TSRTC), which has decided to operate 50 electric AC buses on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route, will launch 10 EV buses.
The remaining 40 EV buses will be made available in stages by the end of this year. Along with environmental benefits, the EV bus fleet is expected to provide a more pleasant and comfortable travel experience for passengers traveling between Vijayawada and Hyderabad.
According to TSRTC officials, the electric AC buses will be operated in such a way that they will be available to commuters every 20 minutes on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route.
The Corporation has said that 1860 new electric buses will be available in the next two years, with 1300 buses serving the city of Hyderabad and 550 serving distant areas. Aside from them, in the coming months, a total of 10 double-decker buses will start operating in Hyderabad.

The new electric AC buses will be inaugurated on Tuesday at Miyapur crossroads in the presence of Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
