Hyderabad: Nagole flyover to be inaugurated on October 26

The Nagole flyover will be inaugurated in Hyderabad on Wednesday, October 26 by Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao. This flyover is part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), which aims to reinforce signal-free and improved transportation systems.

An estimated Rs 143.58 crore was spent on the Nagole flyover project, including the cost of land acquisition and utility relocation. There are six bidirectional lanes on the 990-meter bridge. In addition to reducing pollution and travel time, motorists in the city will greatly benefit from this signal-free route from Uppal to LB Nagar. Additionally, Aramghar and LB Nagar will make it easier to get from Shamshabad airport to Uppal.

The Nagole flyover is the sixteenth project completed under the SRDP. Now that 41 SRDP works have been completed, they are being made available one by one. There are 47 pending projects, of which 31 have been completed and 16 are in different stages of development. So far, 15 flyovers and five underpasses have been built.

In the city’s two fastest-growing areas, Madhapur and Gachibowli, two additional flyovers will soon be inaugurated to ease traffic congestion. In the near future, the Kothaguda flyover and the Shilpa Layout flyover will be accessible to the general public. The Shilpa Layout bridge is scheduled to open in November. Construction on the Kothaguda flyover is expected to be completed by the first week of December. As a result of these two flyovers, the city will have a total of 18 flyovers.

The Madhapur and Gachibowli sectors are among the busiest routes in the city, according to the GHMC. “In order to ease traffic congestion, two flyovers – one in Kothaguda and the other in Shilpa Layout – will be ready for public use by the first week of December. With this, 18 flyovers will be completed under the SRDP,” the release said.
