The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force team detained Mustapur Prashanth, an Abids resident, for his involvement in the unlawful trade of ganja. In order to pay for his rising expenses, Pani Puri vendor Prashanth, who runs stalls near the Taj Mahal Hotel X Road and Bharthi Vidya Bhavan Road, found that his regular business was not bringing in enough money.
Prashanth came up with an idea to sell the illegal medication to augment his income after learning that there was a big demand for it in Hyderabad. He got in touch with Yashwanth, also known as Goutham, who lived in Jali Hanuman, Dhoolpet, and paid Rs. 25,000 for 2.8 kilogrammes of ganja from him.
Prashanth wanted to take advantage of the strong demand for the drug by charging Rs. 45,000 per kilogramme for the ganja. He set up shop early on a Tuesday near the Rama Krishna Theatre Gate in an effort to draw people to his shady trade. However, the DCP Task Force, headed by P Radha Kishan Rao, discovered his unlawful activities.
Prashanth was caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force squad when he was attempting to sell the ganja to consumers. His full 2.8 kilogrammes of marijuana were seized by the team as proof of his wrongdoing. Prashanth’s arrest emphasises the continued efforts of law enforcement to fight drug-related offences in the city and serves as a deterrent to those engaged in the illegal trade.
