Hyderabad Police Arrest Two in Cockfighting Event

The Rachakonda Special Operations Team (SOT) of Hyderabad has taken action against unlawful activities by apprehending two people involved in the organization of a cockfighting event.

Chinna Babu (35) and V Subba Rao (50), the suspects, were detained for hosting a rooster battle at a venue in Cherlapally. During the operation, cops seized Rs 11,000 in cash, two roosters, and small knives that were most likely used in the event.

The arrested people were allegedly in charge of organizing the cockfight and persuading attendees to wager on the events. The illegal nature of such activities, which frequently involve gambling and animal abuse, has led to their criminalization in many locations.

The Rachakonda SOT conducted a raid after getting information about the event and detained Babu and Rao. Cherlapally police launched legal actions against the defendants following their arrest.

Cockfighting is outlawed in many places because to animal cruelty concerns and its association with gambling and other activities. Law enforcement efforts demonstrate the commitment to limiting such practices and enforcing appropriate legislation to ensure the well-being of both animals and society.
