Hyderabad Police Commissioner Heads ‘Say No to Drugs’ Rally

In order to prevent drug misuse, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy spearheaded the ‘Say No to Drugs’ campaign, which began with medical students and professionals.

Nearly 2,000 students, doctors, and teaching staff took part in a two-kilometer rally from Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences to the TSPA Junction as part of the launch celebration. The event, which was co-organized by Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. VRK Women’s Medical College, and Ayaan Institute of Medical Sciences, aimed to raise awareness about the hazards of drug usage.

Participants in the rally held banners and placards with the campaign’s slogan, emphasizing unity in the fight against drug menace. The campaign launch coincided with the annual cultural festival, adding vibrancy and enthusiasm to the cause.

Doctors from SIMS expressed gratitude to Commissioner Sreenivasa Reddy for leading the initiative and shed light on the harmful effects of drugs on the human body. They urged the medical community to actively contribute to the fight against drug abuse, emphasizing the importance of robust measures and the moral responsibility to advance the campaign.
