Hyderabad: RSS leader booked for encouraging violence against Muslims

According to the latest reports, Sai Ram Yadav aka Laddu Yadav has been booked by the police under various sections but primarily for trying to encourage violence against Muslims.

Yadav belongs to right-wing outfits like the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Bhagat Singh Yuvasena and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Thousands of people gathered in large groups at Begum Bazar Chatri on the eve of the festival to witness his rally.

According to the complaint, he was quoted as saying: “We have constructed Ram Mandir but you Muslims could not do anything to us. Every Hindu should become united to fight against Muslims. All Hindus should have swords with them in order to fight against them. Muslims are the sons of Jinnah.”

Moreover, he urged the police to give two minutes to display the power of Hindus against Muslims, who would never say Bharath Matha Ki Jai.

He said that those that do not say Bharath Matha Ki Jai will be sentenced to Jail.

A case was booked under the sections 153(A) (Promoting enmity between different groups on the basis of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony.), 295(A) (Deliberate and malicious acts, intention to outrage reli­gious feelings of any class by insulting its religious beliefs or reli­gion.), 505(2) (Statements promoting or creating enmity, ill-will or hatred between classes), 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant.) of the Indian Penal Code and section 21/76 of the Hyderabad City Police Act along with an investigation that has been taken up.

Police said that his statements promoted enmity and hatred between different communities and posed an imminent threat to public safety.  As per the police, Laddu Yadav disobeyed the orders given from time to time by the superior officers and made provocative remarks that may create panic in the public.
