Hyderabad to experience mostly dry weather: IMD

Weather conditions are forecast to be mostly dry across the city on Monday and Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). After a few days of cloudy skies and intermittent light rain, the city is set to experience clear skies once again.

It was also reported that the heatwave conditions would not last much longer. As of 8:30 am on Monday, the city was said to have recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

In the coming next five days, the temperature is expected to stay below 40 degrees Celsius, according to the meteorological department.

However, there is an opportunity for scorching temperatures in some districts of the state including Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, and Suryapet.

The summer rains have undoubtedly brought much-needed relief to the citizens, as the maximum temperature in the city has dropped to 34 degrees Celsius.

It is also worth noting that there was quite a bit of pleasant weather in Hyderabad on Saturday, with the maximum temperature reaching 34 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees Celsius less than Friday’s maximum temperature. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius on Saturday as well.

For the next five days, however, there are likely to be light to moderate showers in Telangana, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad.

Thunderstorms and lightning are expected at isolated places in a few districts of Telangana until May 25, according to IMD.

The district of Vikarabad and a few isolated locations in the Narayanpet had experienced heavy rains on Saturday. In Ramagundam, Adilabad, and Badrachalam, the maximum temperature was reported to be over 40 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Khammam with 39.6 degrees Celsius, Medak (37.5), Hanumakonda (37.5), and Mahabubnagar (32.4).
