Hyderabad to witness a drop in night temperatures this weekend

According to the latest reports, nights in Hyderabad are expected to become cold along with a few neighbouring districts in the coming weekend.

The night-time temperature in Hyderabad and a few neighbouring districts is expected to drop by three to five degrees this weekend, according to forecasters. The city had an average low temperature of 19 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Thursday, February 10. The coldest minimum temperature was 15.6 degrees Celsius in Rajendranagar.

The night temperature in various parts of the city is expected to drop on Saturday and Sunday, according to data collected by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) at several Automatic Weather Stations (AWS).

Many areas, including Hayathnagar, LB Nagar, Falaknuma, Uppal, and Malkajgiri, may experience night-time temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius on these days.

Evenings in the northern parts of the city, particularly Alwal and Qutubullapur, are expected to be colder.

IMD prediction on Hyderabad

According to the Indian Metrological Department Hyderabad (IMD-H), the average night temperature in Hyderabad may range between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

Temperatures expected in Telangana

While most of Telangana’s night-time temperatures have remained around 15 degrees Celsius for the past two days, several districts are expected to see a drop in temperature.

Minimum temperatures may fall below 10 degrees Celsius in Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kumram Bheem (Asifabad), Peddapally, and Karimnagar. A few areas in Khammam and Suryapet may also experience light rain.

The minimum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours in Hyderabad

Minimum temperatures in Hyderabad city were recorded at 15.6 degrees Celsius in Rajendranagar, 16.5 degrees Celsius in Hayathnagar, 17.5 degrees Celsius in Karwan, 17.6 degrees Celsius in Alwal, and 17.7 degrees Celsius in Begumpet.

The minimum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours in Telangana

Minimum temperatures in Telangana state were 14.2 degrees Celsius in Medchal and Malkajgiri, 14.9 degrees Celsius in Vikarabad, 15.1 degrees Celsius in Rangareddy, 15.5 degrees Celsius in Medak, and 15.5 degrees Celsius in Mahabubnagar.
