Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions issued for Thursday due to State Formation Day

The Hyderabad city police will enforce traffic restrictions during Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on Thursday at Public Gardens, Nampally from 7.30 am to 11 am.

This means that traffic from MJ Market will not be allowed to proceed towards Public Garden and will be diverted from Taj Island towards Ek Minar, Asif Nagar, Red Hills, Ayodhya Hotel, Lakdikapul, etc. In the same way, traffic from Nampally Railway Station towards the Public Garden will be diverted at Chapel Road T Junction towards the Gunfoundry – Abids or BJR Statue – Basheerbagh Flyover.

There will be a traffic diversion from Nirankari Bhavan and Khairatabad towards Ravindra Bharathi at Saifabad old PS towards Telephone Bhavan – Iqbal Minar – Secretariat Road – Telugu Thalli – Ambedkar Statue – Liberty – Basheerbagh – Abids, etc.

At Basheerbagh Junction, traffic from Hyderguda, King Koti, and BJR Statue will be diverted towards Liberty – Telugu Thalli – NTR Marg – Iqbal Minar – Saifabad old PS – Lakdikapul, and BJR Statue – Abids.

The traffic towards Ravindra Bharathi from Tank Bund will be diverted at Iqbal Minar to Telephone Bhavan Road – Saifabad old PS – Lakdi-ka-pul.

Furthermore, traffic from Sujatha School to Public Garden will be diverted at AR Petrol Pump towards BJR Statue.

It was also announced that traffic from Telugu Thalli flyover, NTR Marg and Liberty sides will not be allowed towards Adarsh Nagar road and Police Control Room Junction (PCR) and will be diverted towards Liberty road and Telugu Thalli flyover at Adarsh Nagar (New MLA Quarters).

Car pass holders that are attending the Telangana State Formation Day, however, will be permitted at the diversion points. Citizens have been urged to opt for alternate routes and cooperate with the Hyderabad Police.
