Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions issued for two days due to Vice President’s visit

Due to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s visit to Hyderabad, traffic restrictions have been announced by the city traffic police. Traffic restrictions will be implemented on June 20 and 21 on various routes.

On the evening of June 20 (Monday), the Vice President will travel on the following route after he alights from his flight at Begumpet Airport around 6.10 p.m. The route includes PNT flyover, Shyam Lal building, HPS Begumpet, Begumpet flyover, Punjagutta flyover, to Jubilee Hills Check Post.

On June 21 (Tuesday), the traffic will be stopped between Road No. 29 Jubilee Hills and Parade Grounds at around 6.20 am. The route will include Jubilee Hills Check Post, Punjagutta flyover, Begumpet flyover, HPS Begumpet, Shyam Lal Building, PNT flyover, Prakash Nagar flyover, Rasoolpura, and CTO flyover.

In an appeal to citizens, the police stressed the importance of taking notice of the timings and route above and preparing ahead of time.

Modi to address public meeting on July 3

On July 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting here, following the party’s national executive meeting. However, the venue has yet to be determined.

The public meeting is most likely to take place at the Parade grounds, according to newly-elected Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman. Modi’s public appearance in the city was discussed in various ways, including a roadshow, but a meeting was ultimately chosen.

BJP’s national executive meeting at Novotel-HICC (Madhapur) on July 2 and 3, preceded by a meeting of the party general secretaries on July 1, will showcase the “Telangana and Telugu flavour in terms of ambience, culture, and food.”

In addition, party leaders will visit districts from June 29 to invite key party men to the public meeting. As many as 50-100 people will be mobilized from each booth.
