Hyderabad Weather Stays Pleasant with Light Rains; Monsoon May Pick Up in July

For the past week, Hyderabad and surrounding districts have been experiencing pleasant weather marked by overcast skies, breezy conditions, and short, scattered rain showers lasting only 5 to 10 minutes. While there has been no major spell of rain, the cloud cover and moderate daytime temperatures — around 33°C — have brought some relief from summer heat.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad, this pattern is expected to continue for another week, with the southwest monsoon likely to gain momentum in early July.

A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds over the next 3–4 days in several districts, including:

  • Hyderabad
  • Medchal–Malkajgiri
  • Rangareddy
  • Kamareddy
  • Adilabad
  • Komaram Bheem Asifabad
  • Mancherial
  • Nirmal
  • Nizamabad
  • Jagtial
  • Rajanna Siricilla
  • Karimnagar
  • Peddapalli
  • Jayashankar Bhupalapally
  • Mulugu
  • Bhadradri Kothagudem
  • Khammam

Despite these warnings, there is no alert for heavy rainfall in any part of Telangana.
