Hyderabad witnesses strange weather conditions in recent days

People in Hyderabad have been experiencing unusual weather conditions for the past few days. It is hot during the day and cold at night. In fact, in some parts of the city, the difference between maximum daytime and minimum nighttime temperatures reached 20 degrees Celsius.

According to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the maximum temperature at BHEL Factory, Ramachandrapuram on Friday was 31.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was a below-normal 11.6 degrees Celsius, a difference of 19.9 degrees (TSDPS).

The temperature difference between maximum and minimum in Gachibowli was 18.6 degrees Celsius, followed by 17.9 degrees in Shaikpet and 13.6 degrees in Sivarampalle. These variations during the day and variations in the day-night cycle are said to be regulated by extraneous factors that, in turn, impact health.

“The unusual gap between day and night temperatures increases a person’s vulnerability to cough, cold, fever, red eyes, and headache,”says Dr. Narayan Rao. For the past few days, the city’s average night temperature has been on the lower side.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, minimum temperatures in almost all areas of the city could remain at 14 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures could range between 29 and 30 degrees Celsius.

The year 2022 was also marked by changing weather patterns. The summer was milder, while the monsoon arrived in a huge way and the temperature fluctuated between low and high levels during the winter.

Though the year began with the coldest minimum temperatures, the cold quickly dissipated, and February was a contrast, with heat searing the city between March and May.

The years 2016 and 2017 were the hottest, with temperatures reaching 43 degrees Celsius, and this summer proved to be more moderate, with the highest maximum temperature recorded being around 42 degrees Celsius.
