I-Day flags imported from China, Centre slammed by KTR

As the TRS working president and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao fired on all cylinders over the BJP government’s dual standards.

He criticized the Centre for not producing national flags for the 75th Independence Day celebrations and instead importing India’s national flag from China.

In response to G Kishan Reddy’s assertion that India’s khadi industry cannot meet the demand for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program, he satirized his statement. Rama Rao took to Twitter to highlight the inefficiency of the Centre in producing enough domestic national flags. In spite of the Centre’s claims to promote ‘Make in India,’ it could not prepare national flags in advance for a landmark event, he said.

“Slogan – Make In India. Reality – Import National flags from China for #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav. NPA Govt & its visionary VishwaGuru Ji could not even plan flags for 75th Independence Day when they knew it years ahead. Wah re Wah #atmanirbharbharat, (sic)” he said on Twitter

Municipal Commissioner suspended for warning staff not to attend KTR’s birthday

As a result of issuing notices to subordinates, a municipal commissioner in Telangana has been suspended for not attending an event celebrating the state’s municipal administration, IT, and Industries minister KT Rama Rao’s birthday.

As a result of Rama Rao’s own direction, the Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) suspended the Municipal Corporation for unacceptable behavior. “I am the last person to encourage sycophancy in politics or administration,” Rama Rao tweeted Friday. “Read about an over-enthusiastic municipal commissioner issuing a memo to subordinates for not attending my birthday celebrations! Have asked the CDMA director to suspend the MC for absurd behavior (sic).”

The incident happened at Bellampalli on Rao’s 46th birthday. A member of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi as well as the son of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly known as KTR. For three years now, he has encouraged party cadre and supporters to donate to the needy as part of a program called #giftasmile on his birthday.
