Minister T Srinivas Yadav today said that the Ganesh idols immersion will be conducted on a grand scale in the city and the state. We made necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Ganesh festival and idols immersion. For this, we arranged 40 big cranes, 19,000 police staff for hassle-free conduct of the Ganesh festival, the minister told media persons.
As per directions by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, we have made better arrangements for the Ganesh festival in the city, he said. He held a review meeting with GHMC Mayor G Vijayalakshmi and officials on the Ganesh festival and arrangements in the city.

The minister said that the GHMC, water, power, and others are involved with effective coordination for the purpose. He welcomed the supreme court verdict in favor of the Plaster of Paris idols immersion this year in the Tank Bund which was opposed by the high court he said.
As per the court directive we took all measures and made necessary arrangements, Srinivas Yadav said.
He also stated that the people and devotees coming to see the grand immersion should follow corona norms. The idols’ immersion will end on Sept 19 as decided in a smooth manner. Devotees and people should cooperate with officials for smooth conduct of the idols’ immersion, he added.
