Inauguration of Telangana Secretariat scheduled for April 30 at 6.08 am

The much-awaited inauguration of the BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat will take place at the auspicious time of 6.08 am on April 30. On the same day, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who will attend the inaugural ceremony, will take his seat inside his chambers at 1.20 pm.

Therefore, the Ministers and other higher officials will also assume their seats. Ministers and other officials will be assigned chambers in the Secretariat on April 20, enabling them to begin effective operations on April 30.

It was planned that the State government would inaugurate the Secretariat on February 17, but it was postponed to April 30 in the wake of the Model Code of Conduct which came into force in Hyderabad due to the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Teachers constituency elections held on Monday.

Officials have released a 3D visualization video of the State Secretariat complex, highlighting its grandeur and modern amenities. As designed by Chennai-based Architects Ponni Concessao and Oscar Concessao, the new Secretariat has a unique architecture and appears to blend Indo-Sarssenic architectural features with domes. Its multiple domes and arches represent the syncretic and liberal Deccani style perfectly.

In the overall master plan, there is a zone for the Secretariat building, ancillary buildings for visitors, police personnel, firefighters, crèches, utility buildings, temples, mosques, and churches. There is plenty of space for landscaping – hardscapes with stone pavements, softscapes with lawns, native trees, fountains, parking for VVIPs, staff, and others. In addition to conference halls, visitor lounges, dining halls, and other modern amenities, the building is equipped with a number of modern amenities.
