Incubating ideas getting India-Sri Lanka closer; Sri Lankan envoy Dr.Venkateshwaran

Deputy High Commissioner, Sri Lanka Dr. D. Venkateshwaran today visited Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and pore over the throughout involved in shaping the young minds.

The Registrar (PJTSAU), Dr. Sudheerkumar, and Director of Research Dr. Jagadeeshwar, who welcomed the guest, has led him to various research and incubation institutions in Rajendrangar campus and explained about the university activities.

Dr. Venkateshwaran also visited the newly inaugurated Ag-Hub (Agri Innovation Hub) facility of PJTSAU to catch on the gist of the Agri-tech innovation ecosystem being nurtured through the university platform.

Moved by the idea and the way it is being operated to propel the innovation hub, the Deputy High Commissioner opined that Sri Lanka too need to emulate the same concept. A similar model would also help elevate the already-booming innovation and entrepreneurial environment in the Sri Lanka.

“A collaboration to adapt ideas and models of AgHub and successful ventures of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), exchange of faculty and students for optimal utilization of resources besides propagation of technology is strengthening the relationship of both the nations thereby stirring an amalgamating of value to the agritech ecosystem,” asserted the Deputy High Commissioner.

Later, he went into huddle with the Managing Director & CEO AgHub and the university officers.
