India, US Project Agreement To Co-Develop Air Defence Equipment Gets Approval

The Indian Defence Ministry and the US Department of the Defence project agreement for the Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) have received their approval. The Ministry of Defence said on Friday.

India And US Further Deepen Defence Technology Collaboration 

The approval came on Thursday. It was first signed in 2006 and then renewed in January 2015. The agreement is said to be a significant step towards deepening the defence technology collaboration between the two countries.

India And US To Co-Develop Aerial Vehicle Prototype 

The point of DTTI is to bring a supported authority center to advance collective innovation trade and set out open doors for co-creation and co-improvement of future advances for the Indian and US military powers.

Under DTTI, Joint Working Groups ashore, maritime, air, and plane carrying warship advancements have been set up to zero in on commonly concurred projects in separate spaces.

The arrangement for co-advancement of air dispatched automated aeronautical vehicle has been supervised by the Joint Working Group on Air Systems and is a significant achievement for DTTI.

The arrangement diagrams the coordinated effort between Air Force Research Laboratory, Indian Air Force, and Defense Research and Development Organization towards plan, advancement, exhibit, testing and assessment of frameworks to co-foster an air dispatched automated flying vehicle Prototype.

The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) at DRDO and the Aerospace Systems Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), alongside the Indian and US Air Forces, are the foremost associations for execution of PA.

The understanding was endorsed by the co-seats of the Joint Working Group Air Systems under DTTI, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Plans Air Vice Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari from the Indian Air Force and Director, Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate Brigadier General Brian R. Bruckbauer from the US Air Force.
